This recipe is to make salted whole wheat cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour / atta
- 1/2 cup salted butter (Have about 2 teaspoons butter to spare)
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Om / Ajwain seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon grounded pepper (optional)
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour and the soft butter.
- Make a dough of the flour and butter, knead it well and add the spare butter if needed. To make soft cookies avoid adding milk or water
- Grease your palms lightly.
- Make small balls of the dough and press them between your hands.
- Place the cookies on the greased cookie plate at about 1/2 inch distance.
- Pre heat the oven in convection mode to 160 degree F.
- Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes or until cookies are lightly gold brown.
- Let the cookies cool down for two to three minutes and take them off the cookie plate.
Why is this recipe for the lazy?
All you need is whole wheat flour and soft salted butter.
I use IFB mircowave. In this oven the cookies don't bake evenly, so I keep turning the cookie plate once in two miuntes.
