This recipe is to make whole wheat eggless cake.
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour / atta
- 3/4 cup sugar (If you want more sweet in the cake you can increase it to 1.5 cups)
- 1 cup curd
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 Cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp rasins (optional)
- 1 tbsp cashews (optional)
- 1 tbsp cherries (optional)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1.5 tbsp cooking soda
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour and the soft butter.
- Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cinnamon powder, baking powder, soda) in a large bowl.
- Blend the curd and vegetable oil in another bowl
- Mix the dry and wet ingredients together and blend together well
- The dough must drop off from the ladle easily, if not add water and blend well
- Grease the cake dish and pour the dough into it.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
- Bake the cake at 170 degrees for about 30 minutes.
- Keep testing at intervals with a tooth pick, to check if the cake is done.
- Once the cake is done, the toothpick comes out clean.
- Cut and serve once the cake cools
Why is this recipe for the lazy?
It takes about 5 minutes to mix all the ingredients and all the hard work is done by the oven. :-)
I use IFB mircowave. In this oven the cookies don't bake evenly, so I keep turning the cake plate once in ten minutes.
